Tri-town students to dance in Fall River production of "The Nutcracker"

Dec 6, 2017

Three tri-town residents will take the stage when Spindle City Ballet presents its production of “The Nutcracker” on Saturday, December 16, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 17, at 2 p.m. at Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA.

Klara Whalley of Mattapoisett and Allison Root of Rochester will dance onstage. They will be joined by Mattapoisett resident Cami Parker, who takes on the role of Clara, the central character in the ballet.

Two special events will be held along with the performances. On Saturday evening the ballet will hold “An Evening with the Staulbaums," on December 16 beginning at 6 p.m.

At this event guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, treats, wine and champagne before the show and during intermission. After the show, come and meet costumed cast members for pictures and autographs. Tickets for this event are $32 for adults and seniors, and $22 for children 12 and under.

In addition, Spindle City Ballet will offer “Meet Clara."  This event, for children of all ages, begins after the Saturday and Sunday matinees. Each child, accompanied by one adult, may come backstage to meet Clara, see what is happening behind the scenes and take pictures with Clara. The cost for the event is $12 per child.

Tickets to the performance range from $11-$32. For more information, call 508-536-6073, go to spindlecityballet.org. or email lisabibeau@spindlecityballet.org
