Power outages spread as storm intensifies

The third noreaster of March is hitting the tri-town hard, with widespread power losses already prevalent through the three towns.

As of 10 a.m. Marion has been hit the hardest by the storm. 1,703 residents, or 54 percent of the town, was without power.

Forty percent of Rochester citizens are without power—995 residents.

Mattapoisett has 1,266 outages, meaning 32 percent of the town is without power.

A few businesses remain open—the Stowaway in Mattapoisett opens at 10 a.m. for regular hours, which will run until 1 a.m. Seahorse Liquors in Mattapoisett will also be open until around noon.

Emergency warming shelters in the three towns have not yet been listed as open, but robocalls and email alerts will be utilized if and when they are.
