Mar 27, 2018

The Elizabeth Taber Library and Sippican School are co-sponsoring The African Library Project, an initiative to collect 1,000 books to send to Kaphira Primary School in Malawi, Africa.

The library and school are looking for gently used book from pre-school through fourth grade levels, as well as $500 to ship the books.

Donations can be dropped off at either the Elizabeth Taber Library or Sippican School Library from April 29-May 5.

The goal of the project is to increase literacy in Africa, which provides a tool out of poverty.
