The May 16 meeting of the Rochester Historical Society will feature the history of the Hartley Sawmill. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m.

Henry Hartley will present the history of the mill through pictures and personal recollections at the East Rochester Church/Museum, 355 County Road.

This look into the life of a Rochester business is in keeping with the Historical Society's theme this year, "Rochester Businesses Past and Present." The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
