Rochester Memorial School welcomes interim principal
ROCHESTER — Rochester Memorial School has welcomed Heidi Letendre as Interim principal.
According to an Old Rochester Regional School District press release, Letendre has served as a principal for the past 10 years. Most recently, she served as Principal of the John T. Nichols Jr. Middle School in Middleboro where she managed daily school operations as well as proactively changed the school schedule to best support student learning and teaching practices.
Letendre also held the position of Principal at the Memorial Early Childhood Center in Middleboro, George H. Mitchell Elementary School in Bridgewater, and Lillie B. Merrill Elementary School in Raynham according to the press release.
"It is my pleasure to welcome Heidi Letendre as Interim Principal of Rochester Memorial School," Superintendent Nelson said. "Heidi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in educational leadership and I am confident she will be a great leader for our Rochester Memorial School community."
In addition to her administrative roles, Letendre has served as a third grade teacher and Educational Support Personnel at Central Elementary School in East Bridgewater. Throughout her professional career, she has also served on various school-based and district-based committees.
"It is a great honor for me to be appointed as the Interim Principal for the Rochester Memorial School," Letendre said. "I am excited to be working in a school district that is known for its academic rigor and positive school culture. In addition, I am looking forward to sharing my love of educational leadership with the students, families, and faculty of Rochester Memorial School."
