ROCHESTER — The Rochester Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at 355 County Rd.

David Schafer of the Sons of the American Revolution will speak on the research that it takes to locate the graves of Revolutionary War veterans in order to install memorial markers.

According to the Rochester Historical Society, this is a prelude to an event that will be held on Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at the Rochester Center Cemetery which will honor Thomas Bassett, a Rochester native who served in the Revolutionary War.
