MARION — Sippican Lands Trust held a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, Sept. 21 to open the Osprey Marsh pavilion on Point Road.

Cutting the ribbon was Mary Howland Smoyer, donor and steward of Osprey Marsh, and Susannah Davis, clerk and project manager for Sippican Lands Trust.

Marion Select Board member Randy Parker spoke at the ceremony “about the importance of the Community Preservation Act,” for projects in Marion like the Osprey Marsh pavilion, according to a Sippican Lands Trusts news release.

Sippican Lands Trust president Cathy Stone recapped the project and thanked board members and donors “for seeing it to completion,” the news release said.

Upcoming programs and events will be held at the pavilion, such as a free yoga class on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. To sign up, visit sippicanlandstrust.org/events.
