Land trust members to speak at Mattapoisett Woman’s Club

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club is inviting potential new members and interested local residents to its Thursday, Nov. 21 meeting which will feature speakers from the Mattapoisett Land Trust.
The program, open to the public, starts at 12:45 p.m. in Reynard Hall at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church.
Kristen McCormack, vice president of the Mattapoisett Land Trust, will begin the program with an overview of the organization’s “50 years of preserving land for the enjoyment for all,” an announcement said.
That will be followed by the trust’s education committee co-chairs Mary Cabral and Wendy Copps will speak about the free “Story Walk” programs they set up on land trust properties and explain the programs they are able to offer public schools “enhance the learning experiences for many students,” the announcement said.
