Elizabeth Taber Library thriving through construction
MARION — Though going through construction and improvements, the Elizabeth Taber Library is offering events in the coming weeks.
The library and services will be closed during the move back into 8 Spring Street Monday, March 3 to Friday, March 7.
Due to ongoing construction the building will be closed to the public from Monday, March 10 to Saturday March 22. The library will only offer hold pickups before reopening fully to the public Monday, March 24.
Story Times will be held on Monday, March 10, Tuesday, March 11 and Monday, March 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the Marion Natural History Museum.
Copper Stamping workshops with Heather Beck will be held every Saturday in March starting March 8, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Marion Music Hall.
Moving into April the Elizabeth Taber Library will host basket weaving workshops with
artist Patty Benson. The workshops will take place in the library’s new event space.
Each session in April from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. will have participants creating a basket and will feature the following designs:
Saturday, April 5 — Mail Basket
Saturday, April 12 — Round Handled Basket
Saturday, April 19 — Gathering Basket
Saturday, April 26 — Wine Basket
