Old Rochester boys basketball team qualifies for state championship game

ROCHESTER — The Old Rochester boys basketball team qualified for the state championship game after defeating St. Mary’s High School, the highest ranking team in the division 3 tournament, on Tuesday, March 11 with a final score of 70-63.
This is the third year in a row that Old Rochester qualified for the state finals in boys basketball, with this year’s team composed of an almost entirely new starting lineup.
They will face off against Norwell High School in their final round of the tournament on Friday, March 14 at 8 p.m. at the Tsongas Center in Lowell following the division 3 girls state finals at 6:15 p.m.
Tickets for the game are available online at https://tsongascenter.evenue.net/ for $24. Free admission is available for children under the age of 5 attending with an adult. One ticket is valid for both the girls final and boys final games with no re-entry allowed between the two events.
