MATTAPOISETT — This summer was a real page turner for the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, with nearly 1,000 children attending events over the course of the season. Over 160 children also participated in the library’s summer reading program, up from nearly 120 in 2024.

Children attended story times, community reader events, activities, crafts and Camp Seahorse visits, in addition to checking out books, backpacks and items from the Library of Things.

The children’s programs were made possible with sponsors and supporters from the Mattapoisett Library Trust, the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library, the Mattapoisett Cultural Council, as well as patrons, volunteers and librarians.
