Needle felting pop-up
MARION — Create a furry friend at the Needle Felting Pop-Up Art School at the Elizabeth Taber Library on Friday, Sept. 19 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Kids ages eight and up can learn the basics of needle felting by making a felt squirrel. Caregivers of kids under nine are asked to stay in the library during the event.
The library is located at 8 Spring Street. Registration is required, and can be done by calling 508-748-1252.
Saturday, Sept. 20
Yart Sale
MARION — Look no further than the Marion Art Center’s second annual Yart Sale for lightly used art supplies, equipment, books and more.
All items will be for sale by local artists on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Marion Art Center at 80 Pleasant Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For people interested in donating to the event, the Marion Art Center will accept gently used, unused or new items in good condition, including art paper, art books, fine art posters, textile and fiber art supplies, brushes and more.

Sunday, Sept. 21
Amphibian Oasis
MATTAPOISETT — Have a ribbiting time with the Buzzards Bay Collective at their monthly Amphibian Oasis. This month’s event is held on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
With field guides, guests will wander the Tinkhamtown woodlands, which has lots of hiding places for frogs and other amphibians like wetlands and a large vernal pool.
Guests will meet at the trailhead at 43 Long Plain Road.
The event is free, but registration is required. Registrations can be made on the Buzzard Bay Collective’s website.
Monday, Sept. 22
Landscape exhibit
MARION — Delve into some of the details of landscapes at the Marion Council on Aging’s Art For Your Mind Landscapes Old and New event on Monday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m.
This event will look at interpretations of landscapes in America, Europe and beyond. The center states these paintings will become surprising and interesting with close observation and insight into the artist and their goals.
The council’s office is located at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center at 465 Mill Street.
Wednesday, Sept. 24
DIY jibitz
MARION — Tweens will take over the Elizabeth Taber Library with a DIY jibitz event on Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Kids in grades five through seven can create their own jibitzs for crocs using shrinky dink paper.
The library is located at 8 Spring Street. Registration is not required.
