Car slams into tree in Marion

The car was towed by Murphy's Auto Salvage around noon on Monday. BY GEORGIA SPARLING
A Dodge Durango crashed into a tree on Converse Road in Marion late Monday morning. The accident took place near the corner of Route 6.
The driver was taken to the hospital by Marion EMS. No other passengers were in the vehicle.
Marion Police Chief Lincoln Miller was on the scene and said the cause of the accident was still under investigation.
