Alexander Hamilton expert to embody founding father

Oct 5, 2016

The Sippican Historical Society is hosting Alexander Hamilton at the Music Hall on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. as part of its Speakers Series.

Charles Stockbridge, an experienced lecturer on the founding of the first United States currency and the restoration of the public credit put forth by Alexander Hamilton in 1790, will reenact Hamilton in period attire.

The play is set on Dec. 23, 1800, when the political atmosphere is charged with a dead-locked ballot for presidency between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr.

The performance is free and open to the public.
