The Mattapoisett Free Public Library will display the works of artist Nathaniel Fuchs from May 16 to June 14.

This exhibit is called “Reflecting Pools-Wooden Sculptures” and is part of the Mattapoisett Free Public Library’s Artist Series. 

Fuchs works, inspired primarily by the outdoors, focus on themes such as reflection, simplicity, and nature.

His work was created with a specific intention rather than a single meaning.

The meaning comes from the viewer and what their moment in thought brings to the work.

Three sets of wooden sculptures are grouped together on a mirrored surface to evoke feelings of thoughtful reflection as a stream or spring might in nature.
