The Plumb Library fiction book club, Cafe Parlez, will discuss "Longbourn" by Jo Baker on Monday, Dec. 29 at 6:30 p.m.

The book goes beyond the drawing rooms of Jane Austen's classic "Pride and Prejudice" and looks at the gritty daily details of life for the lower classed people who work for the Bennet family. Sarah, the orphaned housemaid, is at the center of the story. When a mysterious new footman arrives, the orderly realm of the servants' hall threatens to be completely upended.
