MATTAPOISETT — Bring in the beginning of spring with pies and other baked goods. The Friends of the Mattapoisett Council on Aging are having a “Spring Pie & Bake Sale” Saturday, March 30 at the Knights of Columbus hall.

The bake sale runs from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. There will be apple and blueberry pies in addition to an assortment of baked goods. Proceeds from the event will be going towards a free fall cookout in September.

Along with the baked goods, the Friends of the Mattapoisett COA will be displaying its mandala peacock afghan for attendees to view. Raffle tickets will also be available to purchase.
