Creativity lets loose at afternoon art sessions

MARION — Sippican Elementary School students can once again join the Marion Art Center for afternoon art sessions to draw, build, sculps and more.
The six-week Art in the Afternoon program for students ages 6-12 resumes May 1 and runs through June 5. Shorter sessions run from 3 to 4 p.m. and longer ones begin at the same time and end at 4:30 p.m.
During these afterschool sessions, participants can chose from a variety of materials to work with, paired with prompts to inspire creativity and instructors to help.
The shorter program cos $155 for MAC member families and $185 for nonmember families, and the longer program costs $235 for MAC members and $275 for nonmembers. Both are held at the MAC Studio at 80 Pleasant St.
