Fire safety and hands-on fire extinguisher training will be offered Tuesday, Oct. 22 through the Mattapoisett Fire Department. The Mattapoisett Council on Aging is sponsoring the event.

The presentation begins at 12:15 p.m. and is free. Fire safety tips will be taught and attendees will have the chance to extinguish a fire in a controlled environment. For more information or to sign up, call the council 508-758-4110.
