Frosty Runner Road Race

After a one-year hiatus, the Frosty Runner Road Race is back.

The 10-mile winter race begins and ends at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, located at 476 North Avenue, on Saturday, Jan. 23 starting at 10 a.m.

Also, there is a 3.1-mile run/walk course. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held Jan. 30 at the same time and location. Proceeds benefit the school's cross country team and its National Honors Society.

Registration is available at www.jbrace.com or www.oldcolony.us. The online registration fee is $25 and is open until Jan. 21. Registration on the day of the race is $30. The fee is non-refundable.

The Frosty Runner’s T-shirt is available to pre-registered runners and walkers by Jan. 4.

Registration and number pick up will be on the day of the race from 7:30 to 9:45 a.m. at Old Colony.

Awards will go to the top male and female, along with the top three male and females in age groups 18 and under, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.

There will be food and refreshments for runners and walkers after the race.
