Old Rochester's Senior Prom began on Tuesday May 30 with promenade, as seniors lined up to be introduced inside the high school auditorium.

Couple after couple, one ensemble of three, and a few brave people escorting themselves walked the flower-strewn stage as cameras flashed. Space was so precious that several parents found themselves at the back of the auditorium.

Outside the auditorium, limos, coach buses and cars were waiting to ferry prom-goers to Belle-Mer in Newport, the site of this year's prom.
