The Buzzards Bay Habitat for Humanity has a new address at 8 County Rd., Suite 2 in Mattapoisett and is inviting the public to an open house on Thursday, Aug. 1, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The local chapter is part of the international Habitat for Humanity, which helps low-income families build homes.

Along with checking out the organization's new office, the board members and project manager of the upcoming build in Marion will be on hand.

Habitat is also seeking additional community help. There are openings on the board and chair positions available for fund raising, building, communications, and volunteers.

Additionally, crew leaders, skilled labor, and tradesmen are needed for the Marion build as well as any "handymans-willing-to-learn."
