Learn about global affairs and politics with Mattapoisett Woman’s Club program
MATTAPOISETT — Learn about global politics, national relations and other important topics through the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club’s Great Decisions program.
The class will be offered for eight consecutive Wednesdays starting Jan. 15, 2025.
John Ikenberry will serve as guest editor of Great Decisions 2025. Ikenberry is the Albert G. Milbank Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University.
Topics that will be covered include U.S. foreign policy, leadership of world economy, United States’ relations with China, India, international cooperation on climate change, the future of NATO and European security, National security and American foreign policy in the Middle East.
Thirty textbooks are available for the course. Registration is on a first come basis.
The cost to participate is $40 for the entire course. For two people sharing one book, the cost is $50.
Starting on Jan. 15, classes will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the media room at Mattapoisett Free Public Library in the downstairs community room. The side door is accessible with an elevator to the lower level.
Light refreshments, coffee and tea will be provided.
