MARION — As part of the Sippican Historical Society Speakers Series, The Marion Music Hall will host “Forty Rooms and Counting” on Wednesday Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.

The program is about Beauport, a harbor side mansion in Gloucester. The mansion was designed by Harry Sleeper, who gained notoriety in World War 1 for founding American Field Service with his neighbor Piatt Andrew.

The mansion became home to a group of friends who were known for their lavish parties, and charitable contributions.
