Learn about the lone star tick

MARION — On Monday, June 16, attend a presentation about the northward spread of the lone star tick, its role in transmitting diseases and its link to Alpha-Gal Syndrome, which is an allergy to red meat and other mammalian products.
This talk, which will be led by Blake Dinius, an entomologist educator from the Plymouth County Mosquito Control Project, will cover tick identification, behavior and prevention strategies.
Light refreshments will be served.
This even begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at the Marion Community Center at 465 Mill Street.
