Learn to quahog in Marion with the Buzzards Bay Coalition

Sep 8, 2014

The Buzzards Bay Coalition will be at Silvershell Beach (end of Front Street in Marion) on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a free program to learn to dig quahogs from Buzzards Bay.

Experts with the Coalition will teach the basics of local quahogging — what is needed, how to do it and where to go. This will be a “dig and release” event, except for those who have a current Marion shellfish permit.

This program is part of the Coalition’s Bay Adventures series – programs designed for explorers of all ages to get outside and discover Buzzards Bay.
