Mad science, banned books and cozy cups at Elizabeth Taber Library
MARION — Elizabeth Taber Library is hosting events for adults and kids alike during November.

Fire and ice show. While school may be out, mad science is in session at Elizabeth Taber Library on Monday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.
Mad Science of Southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island will be presenting a fire and ice show for kids grades kindergarten and up. Registration is required and can be submitted on the library’s website.
The Cozy Cup Book Club. The Cozy Cup Book Club will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. to discuss their monthly read: “Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers” by Jesse Q. Sutanto.
As always, free tea and coffee are available at the meeting. Registration is requested for this club, and copies of the book are available at the circulation desk in the library.
Life-size board game. To celebrate International Games Month, Elizabeth Taber Library will host a life-size version of Chutes and Ladders on Saturday, Nov. 15. Participants can stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to try their luck and see who wins.
Saturday storytime. Children’s librarian Miss Macy will host Saturday Storytime on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m.
Banned Book Club rescheduled. Banned Book Club’s next meeting has been moved to Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. The group will discuss Laura Esquivel’s “Like Water for Chocolate.”
No registration is required.
Spice pantry. Throughout November, the library’s spice pantry is giving away free spice packets and recipes all month long.
