Rep. Mark Sylvia presented Manufacturer of the Year Award to Mattapoisett business
MATTAPOISETT — State Rep. Mark Sylvia is honored to announce that Village Signs of Mattapoisett is a 2025 recipient of the "Manufacturer of the Year” Award, presented by the Massachusetts Legislative Manufacturing Caucus.
This award is given in recognition of outstanding leadership skills in the manufacturing industry. The company was presented with this award at the 10th Annual Manufacturing Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
Founded in 1981 by Kenny Pacheco in a small Mattapoisett garage, Village Signs has grown from a one-man shop specializing in hand-painted signs and boat transoms into a full-service sign company known for quality craftsmanship and personal service.
Under the ownership of Tony Tranfaglia since 2010, and with the creative expertise of both Kenny and designer Lance Burgo, Village Signs continues to combine traditional artistry with modern design while maintaining a friendly, community-focused spirit that has defined the business.
“I was proud to nominate Village Signs as a thriving business that exemplifies craftsmanship, innovation, and personalized service,” said Rep. Mark Sylvia.
Each year, the Massachusetts Legislative Manufacturing Caucus hosts the Manufacturing Awards Ceremony to highlight many of the Commonwealth’s most noteworthy manufacturers and celebrate their successes as leading manufacturers in the industry.
“It was an honor to be nominated by Rep. Sylvia for our area's Manufacturing of the Year Award…Village Signs is humbled to be chosen,” said Tony Tranfaglia.
This recognition is reserved for Commonwealth manufacturers that exemplify what it means to “make it in Massachusetts” and propel their industry towards continued growth and innovation.
