Marion Art Center bringing holiday shop, ice sculptor to town

The Marion Art Center is hosting special events in the next few weeks to start off the holiday season.

Annual Holiday Shop

The Annual Holiday Shop Will be installed in both galleries at the Art Center beginning November 18th. The gala opening of the show will be on Friday, November 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. Truman Terrell will entertain on piano. The Holiday Shop show and sale runs through December 21st.

Shop Hours: Tuesday – Friday, 1 to 5 and Saturdays, 10 am to 2 pm. Admission is free.

Ice Sculptor

Timothy Wade, local sand and ice sculptor and painter, will give an ice carving demonstration at 10 a.m. on Dec. 10 in Bicentennial Park. Visitors are invited to come and watch as he transforms blocks of ice into beautiful sculptures, take a few pictures with the finished product, or stop by on their way along the Sippican Women’s Club House Tour.
