Marion Art Center introduces new drawing class

MARION —.The Marion Art Center is introducing a new art class for adults who want to learn how to draw. 

Instructor Patty White will lead an eight-week program teaching students the fundamentals of drawing. 

The classes will run every Tuesday from Sept. 8 to Nov. 3 except Oct. 6. The two-hour classes begin at 1 p.m. 

White will teach students how to work on paper with pencil or ink, and will cover basic mark making, line, value, volume, perspective and texture. 

There will be time during each class for studio practice. The course is for beginner and more experienced artists, and costs $215 for MAC members and $255 for nonmembers.
