Marion Art Center opens registration for fall classes
The Marion Art Center is now accepting registrations for its fall classes for children.
Little People's Theatre (ages 5-9)
Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Session I - September 4 to October 9
Session II - October 23 to November 27
Session III - January 8 to February 12 (2013)
Session IV - March 3 to April 9
The cost for each six-week session is $75 for members and $90 for non-members.
Each week the children will learn basic theater craft through drama games, readers' theater and experience the fun of the stage while rehearsing for a small production to be performed the last week of each Session. Instructor is Nancy Sparklin.
Young People's Theater (ages 10-14)
Thursdays, 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The 10-week program starts September 6 and runs through November 8. Students will learn basic theater craft through improvisation exercises, theater games, and the process of putting on a production through selection, rehearsal and production of a small show presented at the end of the session. Kimberly Teves is the instructor. The fee for the 10-week session is $160 for members and $175 for non-members.
Preschool Piano (ages 3 to 5)
The fall session will run from September 21 until December 7. The recital will be on December 7.
The 25-minute private lessons will be on Friday mornings at the Marion Art Center. The cost is $20 per lesson (includes cost of music/materials/recital).

Saturday morning piano lessons
Piano lessons for beginners and intermediates are offered on Saturday mornings, by appointment only, with instructor Nancy Sparklin.
The 12-week fall session begins September 15 and runs until December 8. There will be no class on November 24. Winter Session begins January 5 and runs until March 30. Spring Session begins April 6 and runs until June 8.
