National Fire Prevention Week is Sunday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 11 and the Marion Fire Department will hold an open house Oct. 5 at Fire Station One, 50 Spring St. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Demonstrations, children’s activities and interactive stations will be offered.

There will also be an adult fire prevention seminar at Sippican School Auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. Home hazards, electrical and generator safety will be discussed.
