Payton Jade Silvia, 22, graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and minors in Psychology and Philosophy

Silvia was also granted the distinciton of Cum Laude, for academic excellence.

Silvia is the daughter of Denise L. Silvia (Alves) of Marion and Peter J. Silvia III of Fall River.

She is the granddaughter of Bobby and Penny Alves of Marion, Peter Silvia Jr. of Wareham, Joseph Spinola of Mattapoisett and the late Deborah Spinola, and the great-granddaughter of Beatrice Pires, of Marion.

Silvia graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School in 2013. She will return to Bridgewater State in the fall to begin her Masters program in Criminal Justice.
