MARION – Due to the ongoing drought, Marion residents will see water restrictions extended into October.

The current water restrictions, which were due to expire on Sept. 15, have been extended through Oct. 7.

The use of outside watering is prohibited except between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for even street-numbered addresses and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for odd street-numbered addresses.

Residents may wash vehicles and water plants on Sundays by means of a hand-held hose between the hours of 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.
