MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Cultural Counci seeks volunteers who are interested in supporting community based projects in the arts, humanities, and sciences .

Each year, the council awards funds for public cultural events such as plays and concerts, arts in schools, community arts and cultural organizations, and field trips for students to museums and performances. These programs promote cultural experiences for Mattapoisett residents.

The council is seeking several new volunteers to serve in leadership positions and administer the work of the council. Council members are municipally-appointed volunteers who determine how to disburse funds to organizations and individuals who apply for project support.
