The annual meeting of The Friends of the Elderly of Mattapoisett will be held on Monday, September 10, at 3 p.m. at the Council on Aging (in the Center School on Barstow Street).

The Friends of the Elderly has more than 150 members and a 21-member Board of Directors. All members are encouraged to attend.

Agenda items include the Annual Report of the Organization, the Annual Financial Statement, and the Report of the Nominating Committee followed by the election of the Board of Directors.

The Friends of the Elderly of Mattapoisett, Inc. was organized in 1990 as the fundraising arm of the Council on Aging. It is a means of providing additional monies to carry out various social programs and events for seniors in Mattapoisett.
