Mattapoisett Land Trust trail chores

Nov 5, 2018

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Land Trust will work to improve its trail system in the coming year, and will be lead by AmeriCorps service member Kent Harlow.

Harlow, originally from New York, is a 2013 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He previously worked with Youth Conservation Corps crews and taught environmental education. Harlow will spend one day each week with MLT and the remainder of his time with the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

The work will include trail planning and design, volunteer recruitment, and trail construction and maintenance. The MLT stewardship volunteers will join Harlow on Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to work on the trails.

New volunteers are encouraged to join. The time commitment can be minimal and different skills and strengths will be needed to complete the work.
