Mattapoisett library hosts two nights of fright

“Spooky Halloween” with Jeff Belanger
Jeff Belanger, writer of the Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures” will return to the Mattapoisett Library on October 16 to take teens and adults on a multi-media journey through Halloween. Belanger will explore different aspects of Halloween, from the holiday's haunted history to the ghostly legends from around the world.

The event will start at 6 p.m. at the Mattapoisett Public Library

92 Second Street: The Victorian 'Amityville Horror'
Tim Weisberg, author of “Ghosts of the Southcoast” will share his stories of the paranormal at the Mattapoisett Library on October 30 at 6 p.m.

Weisberg, who spent six years investigating the story of Lizzie Borden and also studied the “Amityville Horror” slaying of two people in Fall River, will bring videos, photos and what might be the voice of Lizzie Borden herself.

This night of fright is intended for teens and adults.
