A Driscoll Lane resident notified police of a break-in witnessed at a neighbor's house Friday afternoon, which resulted in the arrests of a Taunton man and a Holbrook woman on larceny and drug charges.

The man, identified as Joseph Bruttaniti III, was charged with breaking and entering a building in the daytime to commit a felony and possession of a class C drug.

According to police, Mattapoisett Officer Justin King and Fairhaven Officer Alexander Kisla found Bruttaniti hiding in a closet with items belonging to the homeowners. The home is located at 5 Driscoll Lane.
