Meet ORR Hall of Famers

The Old Rochester Regional Athletic Hall of Fame will hold its 2019 Induction Banquet on June 8. 

The banquet will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall starting with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. and continuing with a dinner and induction ceremony at 6 p.m. 

The next day, the Hall of Fame will host a charity golf tournament at Reservation Golf Club in Mattapoisett. For details, tickets, or to sign up, see: http://www.orrahof.com

The inductees for the Hall of Fame include: 

Amy Beaulieu Filloramo (ORR ’82), a 3 sport All Star from Rochester who lead ORR to four straight SMC Championships in girls basketball.

Mike Barros (ORR ’82), who led the boys bulldog basketball team to the Eastern MA Division 3 State Championship in 1982 while in the process scoring over 900 points in his junior and senior years and averaging 15 rebounds per game.

Scott Vanderment (ORR ’86), a track runner who set school records in the 50, 100 and 200 yard dashes. His accomplishments also followed him to the states, where he placed second in the class D meet and seventh in the states.

Keith Pina (ORR ’89), a three sport athlete who in his senior year captained the ORR Co-SCC Champion Football Team, the Boys Basketball Team, as well as the SCC Champion Boys Baseball
Team.

Dena Xifaras (ORR ’95), a standout athlete and a four-year varsity starter across five sports. She led the turnaround of the Lady Bulldog basketball program, taking a team that was 5-15 her freshman year to 19-1 her senior year, setting school and state records in basketball and track.

The 1998 Girls Spring Track Team accomplished multiple school record performances in shot put, discus, triple jump, long jump, 800 meters, 300 meter hurdles, and 4X800 meter
relay. The team finished 10-0 in the regular season and won the South Coast Conference meet. The team went on to place second at the Massachusetts State Class D meet.
