On the wheels of a successful motocross event last spring, Bruce Rocha has plans to bring the races back to the Mattapoisett landfill on October 28.

Rocha said the last event was a hit with a large number of people in attendance.

"We didn't have any complaints at all," said Rocha. "We talked to some of the neighbors across the street, and they said they didn't even know anything was going on."

Selectmen approved the event on Tuesday and said they had also heard good things about the previous event.

"Everybody was very pleased," said Selectmen Chair Jordan Collyer.
