Old Colony sports round up May 3 to 7

It was a week of solid effort on the part of the Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical School girls varsity softball team as the Cougars fought their way back from a loss to Avon High School on May 1.

The girls defeated Upper Cape Cod Regional Vocational Technical High School on May 3 with a final score of 5 to 1. However, the Cougars fell 4-2 to Holbrook High School on Monday, May 7.

The girls' overall regular season record stands at 6-7-0. They will next face off against Norfolk City Agricultural High School in an away game on Wednesday, May 9.

The boys varsity baseball team ended the week strong with a 13-0 victory over Holbrook on May 7. The boys bounced back from a loss a few days earlier on May 3 to Upper Cape. The Cougars fell 8-6 in a close game.

To date, the boys' overall season record stands at 5-8-0.

The boys will also face off against Norfolk on May 9.
