Old Rochester Regional Drama Club debuts "Triangle"

Blending drama with history, the Old Rochester Regional High School Drama Club will be debuting “Triangle,” a drama based on New York’s Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of 1911.

The fire caused 146 deaths and exposed the hazardous conditions that were common in high-rise factories for the workers. "Triangle," which was written by Laurie Brown, focuses on the the relationship between two sisters both of whom died in the fire, as well as the legal fallout from the tragedy.

The show will open in the Gilbert D. Bristol Auditorium in the Old Rochester Regional High School on Thursday Nov. 17 through Saturday Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a show on Sunday Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.

The cast and crew include 75 students. The lead roles are being played by senior Scotlyn Adler as Rose, senior Mikayla Florio as Isabel, junior Alex Milde as Max, senior Megan Pierce as Malena and senior Rachel Vincent as Sophie.

Tickets for the show are $10 for students and seniors, and $12 for adults. Tickets are available at The Pen & Pendulum in Mattapoisett, the Marion General Store and Plumb Corner Market in Rochester.
