The students were dressed in cheer uniforms, school colors and some even donned costumes from some of their favorite Disney and Pixar movies.
The entire school gathered in the gymnasium for the pep rally, which included class skits and a performance from the school's cheer team.
Senior Lincoln Fauteux started the event with an electric guitar rendition of the national anthem. He's been playing the guitar for five years, and he said he "couldn't put the instrument down" after he started learning to play. All of the music he listens to includes guitar, he said.
"It's fun being able to play the music I love," he said.
He volunteered to perform in the pep rally and said his favorite thing about the event is watching the class skits.
"They're really funny to watch," he said. "I think they're pretty enjoyable."
Each class plans a skit for the pep rally, which is based on the grade's Homecoming theme for that year. This year, the freshman class had a "Freshman Feud" theme, based on the reality TV show "Family Feud." Students put together a round of the gameshow, with some people dressed up as red buzzers. Each skit also included the bulldog mascot and a dance break.
The sophomore class had a Descendants theme. Students wore hair extensions and signature colors to dress up as the main characters from the movie. The skit revolved around the villians entering Old Rochester Regional High School.
Juniors journeyed the Mediterranean Sea to put together their rendition of "The Odessey," with a props like a Trojan horse, palm tree island, a boat, helmets and swords.
Lastly, the seniors had a graduation-themed "Toy Story" skit, in which the main character Andy is getting ready to go to college. Almost every student in the skit was dressed as a character from the movie, and the skit included the bulldog getting stolen by Bishop Fenwick, who played against the school at Friday's Homecoming football game.
"To graduation and beyond," one student acted out at the end of the skit.
Senior Mery Higgins, as the Student Council's exeuctive board president, was the MC for the program. She said she's been involved in the school community since her freshman year, as she had a sister who graduated as she entered high school. She's always loved the pep rallies, she said.
"I was really excited about it from the get-go, and I'd always konwn that this was a position I wanted to have," she said. "While it was a little bit daunting at first, it's very rewarding, and I love to foster a really good school environment."
As a senior, she said she was sad to be at her last pep rally, and she was nervous to speak in front of the whole school.
"The nerves shook off, and I was more excited than anything," she said. "It was a little bit bittersweet."
