MARION – It may still be winter, but the Marion Garden Group isn’t idle.

In-person meetings of the Marion Garden Group resume in March, and plans are underway for refurbishing town beautification projects, in addition to tree tagging.

The group will hold the biannual plant sale May 11th in Bicentennial Park. Annuals, perennials, cuttings and bulbs from local gardens, as well as seedlings nurtured over the winter will be available for sale at the event.

“Peeking up through the crusty old sticks and leaves, the wonder of rebirth dazzles our senses,” a Marion Garden Group press release said. “And gardeners throughout the world are looking for their gloves, rakes and trowels to help Mother Nature with her magic transformation.”
