ROCHESTER — The Joseph H Plumb Memorial Library is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a pocket-sized piece of art.
The library is offering a special commemorative card to current and new patrons bearing an ink drawing of the building by New England native Gerald Garcia.
Anyone with a Plumb Library card can exchange it for an anniversary edition card, and anyone who signs up for a library card will receive the special card as well.
Garcia spent time in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Massachusetts where he drew and painted buildings and scenes he found until his death in 2021 at the age of 95.
