Registration open for Connecting for Change Conference

The Marion Institutes 10th annual Connecting for Change Conference will be held Oct. 24 and 25 in downtown New Bedford.

The conference focuses on sustainability and social justice, bringing together community leaders, citizens, students, educators, scientists and business leaders to share solutions to the environmental, social and economic challenged faced today.

This year's conference features more than a dozen keynote speakers and performers, 40 plus workshops, tours, family programming, an exhibition hall, music, dance and a youth initiative.

Food related programming will include discussions on wild edibles and genetically modified foods. There will also be talks on cows and the climate, pollinators and compost.
