Rochester open house and bake sale on Sept. 27
The Rochester Historical Society will host an open house and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Rochester Church/Museum, 355 County Road on Saturday Sept. 27.
A new display entitled “Rochester Remembered” features stories, photos and articles from the society's collection, private collections and from other town organizations.
The Gift Shop will be open with new Rochester sweatshirts in time for the cooler weather and wooden curio boxes with the town seal along with Rochester books, cards, tee shirts, hats and maps on sale.
A limited number of Edyie Johnson’s new book "Rochester Remembered" will be available free of charge at the open house. The book, partially funded by a Rochester Cultural Council Grant, offers a glimpse of life in Rochester's past.
