Rose M. (Briggs) Jackson, 75
Rose M. (Briggs) Jackson, 75, of Marion died at home on January 17. She was the widow of the late Marshall E. Jackson, Sr. and the daughter of the late Harold C. and Grace (Smith) Briggs.
She was born in Marion and lived there all of her life. She graduated from Sippican School.
Mrs. Jackson worked for the Marion Council on Aging delivering meals on wheels.
She enjoyed cooking, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and working with the Marion senior citizens. She was a totally giving person and loved helping people.
She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Marion Council on Aging, and the former North Marion United Methodist Church. She was very active in the affairs of the Town of Marion.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Jackson of Stockton Springs, ME, Sharon LoCicero of Norway, ME, Warren Jackson of Raymond, ME, William Jackson of West Baldwin, ME, Marshall Jackson, Jr. of North Conway, NH, Cheryl Berto of Waterville, ME, Rosie Jackson of Dartmouth, Melissa Foster-Adams of Clinton, ME and Heather Perkins of New Bedford; her siblings, Bernice Prestash, Thelma Ladner, Lloyd Briggs, Harold Briggs, Benjamin Briggs, Arnold Briggs, Priscilla Norton; Rose is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Charlie Briggs, Sam Kenny, Pauline Briggs-Dott, and Margaret Waterhouse.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 20 at the Chapman, Cole, and Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy, (Rt. 28) Wareham. Burial will follow in the North Marion Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be 9 a.m to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
