Selectmen approve Comcast Cable contract
Aug 12, 2015
On Monday night, Mattapoisett Selectmen voted to approve a 10-year contract for Comcast Cable.
The contract includes provisions for additional fiber cables that Town Administrator Mike Gagne said will help with picture quality. One of the fiber cable hubs will be near Center School, which will improve video service at Center School where larger town meetings occasionally take place, added Gagne.
“I think all in all we got a good agreement out of this,” said Gagne, who attended negotiation meetings.
The town’s contract with Verizon will be up next year.
